Last week I attended the Minot, ND, Scandinavian Hostfest. What a delight to meet people from all over the world who share Scandinavian roots and a passion for Scandinavian culture. You may have seen me manning my table in the Book Room. Thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hello and to the many who purchased my books, Abercrombie Trail, Pomme de Terre, and Birdie.
A young North Dakota couple with a three-year-old toddler and eight-month-old TRIPLETS stopped by my table. As I was admiring the adorable baby boys, I was surprised to learn their grandmother is my second cousin. Amazing. Only at the Hostfest!
For me, the most rewarding part of Hostfest was hearing from the many readers who are already acquainted with my work. THANK YOU for taking the time to read my books and to comment.
