Hostfest 2015

Ladies Wearing BunadsThe best thing about attending the Minot Hostfest is celebrating my Scandinavian heritage with thousands of others from around the world.  I love seeing folks wearing the traditional bunads, eating ethnic dishes, and enjoying contact with readers and participants.  We always stay with a wonderful host family, and this year we were able to visit with former classmates–one who i had not seen in 44 years.  It’s tiring to man a book table for 11 hours a day, but so worth it.  I’m back home, unpacked, and mostly caught up with the tasks left undone during my absence.  I’m already thinking about next year.  Hope to see you there.
