BIRDIE, book three in my Abercrombie Trail Series, was released about ten days ago. It’s been a busy time of book launches, contacting bookstores, and arranging events to promote the new release.
Lisa Tucker, an instructor from the 2006 Taos New Mexico Master Novel Class, gave excellent advice. She said that having a new book is like having a baby. Everyone compliments the new arrival and tells the mother how lucky she is to have the new baby. While this is true, they don’t recognize that the new mom is sleep deprived, has a hard time sitting, and suffers with sore nipples. While she is very happy to have the new little one and wouldn’t change a bit of it, she must face the reality that her world is turned upside down.
I’m grateful for this practical advice. So yes, my world is turned upside down. But the baby is born. I hope you have time to take a look at BIRDIE. It continues the story of Evan and Inga in Abercrombie Trail. It picks up the storyline of Ragna and Birdie Larson in POMME DE TERRE. It’s my newest arrival and I’m very pleased with it.
