    1. Hello Candace, I just read your collection of short stories “The Glory of Ordinary Time.” My neighbor Arlette Iverson lent this book to me and I found it outstandingly written. It captivated me – the characters, events, hardships, and life’s Godly gifts – beautiful. I found your website and would very much like to take your writing class. But darn, you’re already three weeks into it. Will you have another class this year? I have stories of my ancestors that I’d like to write. Your works have truly inspired me.

      Kind regards,
      Debora Denny

      1. Debora, how nice of you to comment. Thank you. My one-day class, Writing for the Truly Terrified, will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 10am to noon via zoom. Isn’t it wonderful how technology makes distance irrelevant? I’ll send you a flier when it is available. Hope to meet on zoom! Candace

    2. Candace, I’ve read a few of your books, and I like your style. I an wondering if you would consider writing a story about our neighbor, Little Oscar Carlson. From a small farm in Evansville, Minnesota. A Norwegian farmer with a few cows, who loved his wife, but when she lost her memory, and was placed in the nursing home, she walked out, slipped on the ice and broke her hip. He couldn’t stand to see her suffer, so, as per their agreement, he went in and executed her. He was charged and imprisoned for a short time, but soon released. Many folks in Evansville would have many stories to tell about him and his simple ways over the years. I believe he was born on that small farm in the early 1900s. I think his story should be told. 2 of his three daughters live in Fergus Falls. Please write me if you know of someone who would like to write his story.

      1. Hi Bud, I remember when that tragedy happened. I do not have the time to do this project myself, but I have passed your information along to a friend of mine, Chris Marcotte, who might be interested. Thank you for thinking of me. Good luck with this. Candace

    3. Hi Candace,
Chris did contact me, but he was scheduled for some surgery, so he said he’d get back to me in April. I am still waiting for his progression. I continue to think of your work, and have read a few of your works.
      Thanks for keeping in touch.
      Bud
